Trent Park House of Secrets museum

The former Middlesex University campus is being developed by Berkeley Group into a housing estate of approximately 262 houses and flats. After extensive public consultation, planning permission was granted in 2017. Construction began in late 2017 and is now [August 2026] in its final phase. The work has included a lot of landscape restoration and heritage assets have been re-purposed into homes.  The estate remains open to the public and it is well worth visiting the restored gardens and the lawns on the south shore of the lake.

Trent Park House of Secrets, the new museum, opened in July 2026 and is receiving excellent reviews.  The two lower floors of the mansion now tell the stories of the glittering 1930s when Trent Park was a social hub for high society and of WWII when the mansion served as a surveillance centre – an untold story of espionage and deception.  There is also a cafe to enjoy.

The museum is open Tuesday to Sunday 10am to 5pm. More information can be found here.
