Enfield Council has installed a new bridge across the dam at the eastern end of the larger lake. This now allows visitors to do a complete circuit of the lake, visiting the Water Garden and the North Lawn of the Trent Park mansion. It is a very nice walk and well worth doing. The pathways and steps in the Water Garden have also been upgraded.
Further work is planned on the North shore of the lake, which will be subject to a public consultation due to take place in late 2026. More information about those proposals can be found here.
