If you haven’t already submitted a response to the Local Plan Regulation 19 consultation, you still have two weeks. The plan will dictate development in Enfield until 2041 and the proposals, if accepted by the Planning Inspector, will change the area around Trent Park and all of Crews Hill forever. It’s easy to respond on The Enfield Society website where there is an online form, a selection of the most important policies and suggested arguments to make against them. Policy PL10 – Chase Park would change the historic Enfield Chase landscape setting of Trent Park into a new housing development, while Policy PL11 – Crews Hill would replace the garden centres, golf course and more with at least 5,500 homes, all the way up to the M25. Site Allocation SA10.1 would remove Trent Park Equestrian Centre and replace it with a residential development, while Enfield Road would become an ‘urban high street’ bordered by flats and shops.
