The council has received funding to do major restoration work to the north shore of the larger lake, opposite the mansion.  Their proposals will be subject to public consultation and will be posted on the council website as part of the public engagement process.  But you can read them here…

Please note that repair work to the listed gates will necessitate closing the Cockfosters entrance and car park for two months.  Pedestrians and cyclists will still be able to use the gates, entering on the right hand side. Please see the details below:
