Thanks to all the volunteers who came out today to plant the Limes Avenue wildlife pond and to Greggs Environmental Fund for the grant to buy the plants! The pond looks amazing and the waterfowl have already settled back in.
We are grateful to Enfield Council for all their work on the project, to Thames21 for coordinating the event and to Berkeley Homes for coming along to help – and to everyone else, young and old, who came to play in the mud. Now we can have the satisfaction of watching the pond mature and the wildlife enjoying their restored home.
Watch for the interpretation lectern which will be installed in late August.
