Conservation grazing could come to Trent Park. The Council is consulting on a trial project that would see up to 20 red poll cattle in the expansive southwest fields of Trent Park. They could also be introduced to Whitewebbs and Forty Hall. In Trent Park they would help to maintain the acid grassland habitat, which is rare in London. The Friends have raised concerns about the interaction of cattle, people and dogs but recognise that conservation grazing is working effectively elsewhere.
Please let the Council know what you think, especially if you are a dog owner or professional dog walker. You can learn more and share your views on the link below. The consultation closes at 5pm on Sunday July 10.
