Update on the Cockfosters Station car park campaign

TFL/Grainger with support from the Mayor of London, propose to build high density housing on Cockfosters Station Car Park and remove all general car parking. 
 
How you can help to stop this:

  3. ATTEND the public meeting on 19th March @7pm at Christ Church, Chalk Lane (with MPs/Councillors in attendance)
  4. DEMONSTRATE in collaboration with the ‘Hands Off High Barnet’ campaign outside City Hall on 19th March @9am (where Mayor Khan will be in attendance for the last Question Time ahead of the Mayoral elections).   5. PROTEST to stop the proposed Cockfosters development on 1 April @8am at Cockfosters Tube Station. Please email CLARA by return if you intend to join this peaceful protest.

If this development goes ahead, the impact will be: 

  • NO CAR PARK FACILITY for general use, and NO PASSENGER SET DOWN at station.
  • FOUR HIGH RISE TOWERS up to 14 stories, dwarfing all other buildings, changing the character of Cockfosters
  • ELEVATED CONGESTION ON A111 COCKFOSTERS RD, & POLLUTION
  • STRAINED INFRASTRUCTURE (schools and doctors especially)
  • DAMAGING IMPACT ON TRENT COUNTRY PARK and CONSERVATION AREA 
  • OVER-DEVELOPMENT of the area
